In a Most awaiting decision, James Packer’s Crown Resorts has got the permission to open their $2 billion Sydney casino at Barangaroo. The casino was in controversy, after an Independent Planning Assessment commission sanctioned it. The casino is expected to open for public in 2021. James Packer holds 53% share of the crown and was very happy announcing the news. He said that it is a great day for the crown and we hopes that the new Sydney casino will improve our Australian business as well.
Packer also said that it is our four years long effort, which comes in a good way today. We always wanted to give Sydney a world class and a luxury hotel. He mentioned that the casino and the 350 room of hotel “are of ironic standing and design excellence’.
It will certainly add positive value to the Sydney skyline. Many people were unaware of the NSW parliament decision. It passed a bill back in 2013 that specified the “sitting of the crown Sydney Hotel and resort” to be restricted from gaming.
It is very important to mention here that, in 2014, Mr. Packer had to pay $100 Million upfront to the government of NSW for obtaining his second casino license of Sydney. The crown was expected to be built by 2019, but because of the delay in the world process due to (NSW Government) it is now expected to be live in the year 2021.
Rob Rankin, The chairman of the Crown casino said that the extensive work will be started very shortly. He said that we would start excavation work, as soon as possible and are really looking forward to complete the construction by 2021, after everything’s clears.
