Casino Revenue Falls by 9.5% in Macau

The month of April is not that good for Macau because, total revenue in the Month is dropped by 9.5%. The gross revenue is decreased to 9.55 or 17.3 billion patacas ($2.2 billion).

According to a new data released by Macau gaming inspection and Coordination Bureau, It is 23rd consecutive month of decline in Macau casino revenue.

The Macau casinos revenues are facing a drop because of the china’s anti corruption policy and of course because of the slowing economy.

Macau is the world’s largest gambling hub which provides some of the hugh high rollers to casino/poker players from all the world. This slow down in the gambling market would impact a lot.

Macau based operators such as Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd. and Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd is doing their best to attract the players from the world.

They are planning to give out top welcome offers to attract tourists and recreational gamblers.

The Northern Mariana environmental agency slapped a fine of $US100,000 to the Grand Mariana Casino & Hotel Resort.

The agency made it clear that the Grand Mariana Casino did repeated violations of the rules and of the world orders on its construction site. The Casino is a $US550 Million project on Saipan.

The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality said that the casino is willfully and repeatedly violated the permit conditions, which was meant to avoid in any case.

CNMI also mentioned that the company’s continues to work after prescribed work hours, which is a violation of the work permit.
