Tribe’s Third Casino Location could be in East WindsorFoxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos have decided to develop the third casino in East Windsor.  This casino project would be a joint venture of Mashantucket Pequots and Mohegans tribes.

The tribes have scheduled to have a meeting between the town and MMCT on Saturday to decide the place and to approve the $300 Million Casino project.

The venue would be a vacant showcase cinema in east Windsor. On Thursday, the leaders of the tribes told legislators they will decide the venue in just a few days.

Earlier tribe’s spokesman said that they were searching land in between East Windsor and Windsor Locks to develop third casino.

The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. in the East Windsor High School auditorium. Speaking to the reporters the first selectman of east Windsor Mr. Robert Maynard said that “he anticipates valuable support from other selectman over this agreement”.

I am comfortable with the agreement and I certainly believe that most of the board members will be comfortable by the agreement that we have, he said.

Meanwhile a spokesman of MMCT Mr. Andrew Doba says that tribes will not announce the location for the third casino on Saturday.

Doba also said that our goal is to seek local approval without any problem and hence tomorrow’s meeting in East Windsor will be a key step towards geting approval for the goal.

He said Tribes will say more about the casino-project in upcoming days, but for now they will not announce the dates of the location of the project.

The casino is expected to have 2,000 slot machines, 120-150 table games and many gaming tables in it. According to the officials of the Joint Venture, third casino will create thousands of jobs in the area and will produce top casino-revenue in the favor of the state for their extra expenses.
