The Kalispel Tribe confirmed that they will invest an amount of $20 Million in the Northern Quest Resort and casino to attract families.
On Wednesday, the tribe stated and unveiled their plan to add 40,000 square feet which would include children play area, restaurants, youth facilities and entertainment activities. The place will also feature a retail space.
The tribe is looking to break the ground as soon as possible, because their plan to open the specific area till spring 2018. According to the details the ground braking will take place on the expansion of late spring.
Another casino project is underway just two miles from this particular property and hence it was a very important decision for the tribes to invest another $20 million to be in competition.
Spokane Tribe’s is developing a new casino project worth $400 Million under Hard Rock Hotel banner. The first phase of the project which is $40 Million casino and an outdoor restaurant is expected to be completed this year, while the rest of the parts will open in 2018.
Brandon Haugen, the Kalispel Development Co.’s general manager said that we are investing another $20 Million to our casino-hotel project because many of the families bring their children and most of the time they ask us, “what else is there to do”, he added.
Haugen sad we didn’t have any such thing to offer our guests and hence we decided to expand the casino place, especially for the children, youth and their families.
Brandon Haugen also said that now families would be able to come to the casino and have a place where their kids can play for a couple of hours.
As mentioned earlier, the casino project will add two restaurants, a retail store for people over there and a shops selling home goods and jewelry.
