It was definitely a great day for Tulsa because after years of construction the grand opening of Margaritaville Restaurant and Casino took place on Thursday.
The casino now become one of the major destinations in the area and is expected to add at least $135 million of capital to Tulsa’s economy every year.
The impact of this newly launched casino will be on the entire city.
The reports say that hundreds of people including the Mayor of the Tulsa city and ordinary people were in the casino for this grand launch.
The chief executive officer of the casino Mr. Pat Crofts said that we have been waiting for this moment since a very long time and we are happy that all the efforts that we are invested to create this beautiful casino is on the floor now and this is a dream come true for us, he added.
People inside the casino were very happy and one of them said that we’ve all watched the construction going on till Wednesday and now on Thursday and for the first time we have come to the floor, we got inside.
John Cohlan, the chief executive officer of Margaritaville Holdings said that we have made this possible for our visitors. It was a tough job for us to create the whole new place, (to which many people thought of being land-locked) but thankfully we have able to put ourselves on the banks of the beautiful Arkansas River.
People gathered for the opening ceremony of the casino were very happy about this creation and most of them believed that this casino of a $365-million project will boost the economy of city Tulsa and will add at least 1,000 new jobs in the city.
The project has 50,000 square foot casino floor as well as a two story Jimmy Buffet’s Restaurant and bar. The casino has a bigger parking zone.
